| Important ‐ |

| A] The management of every society shall vest in a committee, constituted in accordance with provisions of Act, rules and bye-laws, which shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be conferred
or imposed respectively by Act, the rules and the bye-laws. [Section 73(1)] |

| B] The members of the committee shall be jointly and severally responsible for all the decisions taken by the committee during its term relating to the business of the society. Similarly, the members of the committee
shall be jointly and severally responsible for all the acts and omissions detrimental to the interest of the society. [Section 73(1AB)] |

| C] Committee shall consist of such number of Members as may be decided by the State Government by notification or special order, from time to time. [Section 154B-19(1)] |

D] Reservation of seats in the Committee will be as follows ‐- Two(2) seats reserved for women, applicable to all Socieities [Section 154B-21(1)]
- One(1) seat reserved for member belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, applicable to Societies having 50 or more members [Section 154B-20(1)(a)]
- One(1) seat reserved for member belonging to the Other Backward Classes, applicable to Societies having 50 or more members [Section 154B-20(1)(b)]
- One(1) seat reserved for member belonging to the De-notified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes or Special Backward Classes, applicable to Societies having 50 or more members [Section 154B-20(1)(c)]
